Alan Sheridan read English at Cambridge, then spent five years in Paris as assistant at the Lycées Henri IV and Condorcet. His most recent book is Michel Foucault: The Will to Truth. He has also translated over fifty books, including works by Sartre, Lacan and Foucault.
